So I’ve been working in retail for the past 2 and a half years and let me tell you how terrible it is. But before I do that, let me tell you what is wrong with retail:
- The customer is NEVER right despite what they tell you.
- The human brain was not designed for you to put a fake smile on and sell something as if you gave a shit about it.
- I don’t feel that just because you are handing me money in exchange for a product that I should have to wish you a nice day.
- There is no reason why I should have to adapt to the customer and instantly learn spanish in order to make your life easier.
- Just because you’re screaming and making a scene doesn’t mean you’re right.
I work in Gamestop and let me tell you that place will remove years from your life. I’ve dealt with more bullshit than I can even begin to start telling you. So if any of you think that you want to maybe venture out into the wonderful land of retail, get a job at a retail store first so you can maybe spare your life.
